When we created Fanpop, we had no idea what spots would become popular. The uncertainty was actually one of the things that made it so fun and exciting. What would people be attracted to? Which fans would be the most passionate and vocal? What kinds of spots would pop up on the site? Well the people have spoken. It looks like our most popular spots is our Viral Videos Spot. We created this spot when we felt like there was just too much garbaggio to sift through on YouTube, Grouper, Google Video, iFilm, Vimeo…the list goes on and on. Apparently, so did all of our users. So not to be outdone by Papa’s top 6 (what a nice random number Papa) web-based video games we’ve seen on Fanpop, I’ve decided to pull together my top 5 wacky Japanese videos. Why Japanese videos you might say? Well because in a word, they are insane. Americans couldn’t even come up with some of this stuff because it’s just that ridiculous. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, heck props to them for being so creative! But not even Jackass would come up with games like getting hit in the nards for messing up a tongue twister or exposing people to the world when sitting on a port-a-potty. We just don’t come up with stuff like this. And this my friends, is why I present, the Fanpop Top 5 Wackyiest Japanese Videos:
Ever wonder what it would be like to tick off the librarian and all the other library patrons by making your friends crack up or scream in pain by making them breath in stank foul air (aka “Bad Smell Air”) or by smacking them silly in the face with a Slapping Machine. No? Neither have I, but the results are hilarious. The large black man that sticks out like a sore thumb is Dutch world kickboxing champ Ernesto Hoost.
#4 How to Undress in 7 Seconds
This is the shortest video of them all. A man somehow manages to strip off all his clothes in under 7 seconds. And we’re not talking about tearaway pants like Jordan had or even a one-piece pancho here. We’re talking a full on outfit with layers. This guy would have clearly won on Japan’s Got Talent.
#3 Japanese Prank Show: Crazy Chairs Jettison People
After a long day on the slopes, sometimes you just want to rest and relax in a sauna or spa. Little did you know that in 10 seconds you were going to be launched out into the snow naked or worse yet rocketed down the slope in your chair in your birthday suit for all the world to see (literally, thanks to the wonderful world wide web).
#2 Say this Tongue Twister or Else
Ah, remember the good old days of your innocent youth when you and your friends could have hours of fun playing Mad Libs and saying tongue twisters? Never once did you think you would be hit in the family jewels for messing up. Aren’t you expected to mess up tongue twisters?! Warning to the male readership, this video hurts to watch because it’s just that wrong.

#1 Japanese Port-a-Potty Nightmare
You’re in a public place and you have to go real bad. Real real bad. You look around frantically, but the only thing you see is a port-a-potty. You reluctantly go in knowing that the foul stench will make you regret your decision, but you have no choice. If you thought the smell was bad, imagine being escalated out into the open for all the world to see you doing your business or worse yet going for an involuntary water ski with your briefs wrapped around your ankles. After watching this video, you might rethink ever going to a portable toilet or outhouse again! From the same twisted guys who brought you the jettisoning chairs at the ski resort.
